Jennifer Anna Pazdon, M.Sc. Eng., P.E. | Vice President|CASTCONNEX

Jennifer Anna Pazdon, P.E., M.Sc. Eng is the Vice President of CASTCONNEX. A licensed structural engineer with over 15 years of experience in design of structures and construction, Jennifer received her bachelors from Carnegie Mellon University and her masters from Princeton University where she focused her studies on aesthetics, efficiency, and economy of structures. Jennifer has worked as a structural engineering consultant based in NYC, Africa, and SE Asia; she was Teaching Fellow in Mechanics, Materials and Sciences at Princeton University and Adjunct Professor of Architecture at The Cooper Union; and she has lectured extensively on the application of steel castings for buildings, bridges, and other structures. Jennifer is Chair of AASHTO/NSBA Collaboration TG17: Steel Castings, Board Member of SEAoNY, Founder of SEAoNY Diversity, member of ASCE SEI Aesthetics Committee and the NCSEA SE3 Committee.

Carrie Warner, SE, PE | Principal | Drucker Zajdel Structural Engineers, Inc.

Carrie Warner has recently joined DZSE as Principal, bringing 22 years of experience structuring state-of-the-art projects at WSP (formerly Halvorson and Partners) where she was a Vice President of Building Structures. She has helped teams shape special and long-span structures for education, sports and institutional clients, including the Writers Theatre with Studio Gang Architect and the Ryan Fieldhouse / Walter Athletics Center with Perkin + Will . Her tall buildings included the 47-story 300 N Michigan tower in Chicago, a series of towers at the Legacy Union development in Charlotte, the 85-story Index Building in Dubai and the 118-story Russia Tower (unbuilt) in Moscow, both with Foster + Partners.  In 2006, Carrie was selected by Crain’s Chicago Business as one of the city’s 40 Under 40.   Carrie’s technical knowledge is paired with passion for teamwork and architecture, enabling her to effectively help teams integrate structural solutions that contribute to the design and quality of each building.

Eric Martin, AIA | Principal | Ross Barney Architects

Eric Martin, AIA, Principal, brings to the studio both his technical and computer capabilities with an attention to detail, building systems, and construction knowledge.  He has been responsible for the planning, management, design and production of building documents for various project typologies and sizes. 

Eric is involved in every process from proposal to realization with a commitment to the built environment.  He believes that the interaction between a user and a building is a relationship that must be reinforced at every stage of the design process. Having provided construction administration for several of the studio’s major projects, he thrives on the research of materiality and assembling of pieces into an inhabitable structure.  His command and organization of complex projects accompanied by an innate optimism makes him an ideal collaborator and colleague. 

Notable projects include the Global Concourses at O’Hare International Airport, Chicago Riverwalk, CTA Cermak-McCormick Place and Morgan Street Stations, South Campus Central Chiller at The Ohio State University, Commodore Joh Barry Elementary School in Philadelphia, Little Village Academy for the Chicago Public Schools, and the Will Rogers and Highland Park Elementary schools in Still Water, Oklahoma.  

Steven M. Winston, P.E., P.Eng. | Structural Specialist + Structural Project Manager |Tishman Construction Corp. of NY

Steven M. Winston, P.E., P.Eng. is an experienced Professional Structural Engineer and Structural Project Manager at Tishman Construction, passionate about the field of development, construction, and Architecture. At Tishman Construction, Steven is responsible for the administration and implementation of all structural phases of work related to the substructure, superstructure and civil engineering work, including pre-construction, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, contract development, shop drawings and submissions, design coordination, construction and implementation, space turnover and contract closeout - shaping the skyline of Manhattan and abroad. 

Robert P. Baxter, PE, SE | Principal | Magnusson Klemencic Associates

Robert is a Principal at MKA, a key member of MKA's Sports and Cultural Specialist Groups, and leader of MKA's Advanced Geometry Technical Specialist Team. He has designed facilities for the NFL, NBA, MLS, and several top universities, with structures ranging from small kinetic art installations to 72,000 seat stadiums. Robert focuses on practical methods for realizing architecturally complex structures, with an emphasis on design processes, model interoperability, and fabrication techniques.
