Sikandar Porter-Gill, PE

Sikandar Porter-Gill, a Structural Engineer with SK&A Structural Engineers, is responsible for structural design and analysis, the preparation of project drawings and specifications, shop drawing approvals, and field observation of projects for conformance with design drawings. Sikandar is the Chairperson of the SEA-MW 2018-2019 Media Committee and was instrumental to the implementation of the organization's adoption of WildApricot, an association software that helps manage SEA-MW's contacts, members, email announcements, finances, and website. Sikandar is also active with SEA-MW's Awards and Gala Committee, participating in the committee's effort to re-vamp and restructure how projects are submitted and considered through the organization's new online effort to "digitize-everything" movement.
His project experience at SK&A includes office, residential, mixed-use, and retail developments. Sikandar is proficient in the use of various software including AutoCad, Revit, SAP2000, STAAD, ETABS, RAM Concept, RAM Elements, Hilti PROFIS Anchor, and ADAPT-PT.
Prior to joining SK&A, Sikandar worked as a teaching assistant (2013 to 2014) and undergraduate researcher and laboratory scholar (2010 to 2014) for The Pennsylvania State University. He also served as an engineering intern for Holbert Apple Associates, Inc. (Summer 2013) and the Sustainable Design Group (Summer 2011).
