EVENT DETAILS:

Our new SEA-MW fiscal year kicks off on September 25 with an inside look at real estate development.  Senior members from Redbrick LMD will present on the development process, typical challenges they face, and what they seek and value from design teams & structural engineers.  Redbrick LMD is a diversified real estate investment management and development firm that has closed on more than $2 billion in real estate transactions since 2000.

OUR SPEAKERS:

PAUL P. ELIAS - Executive Vice President Construction

Mr. Elias has over 35 years of experience in commercial and residential construction, including 25 years in the Metropolitan Washington Area.

At Redbrick LMD, Mr. Elias’s main responsibilities encompass all aspects of Preconstruction and Construction: assisting in and managing the design process, permitting, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, contract negotiation and construction management for all Redbrick LMD projects located in the Washington, DC area.

Prior to joining Redbrick, Mr. Elias was the Senior Vice President, Director of Construction for JBG SMITH, where he managed a large team of construction professionals to complete over 80 ground up developments valued at $4.5 billion. Mr. Elias was the 2018 Chairman of the Board of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Metro Washington and presently serves as past chairman.


STEPHAN M. RODIGER - SVP of Development

Mr. Rodiger has over 20 years of experience in the real estate development, urban planning and finance industry. At Redbrick LMD, Mr. Rodiger’s main responsibilities encompass all aspects of development: sourcing and structuring new developments, underwriting and project budget analysis, management of pre-development activities including feasibility, zoning, entitlement, design development, securing third-party debt and equity, coordinating and overseeing the construction process, and transitioning the completed project to property management or sales operations for settlement. Mr. Rodiger is the lead developer for Redbrick LMD on projects located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Prior to Mr. Rodiger’s current position, he was Vice President for Kettler, a multifamily developer based in McLean, VA. At Kettler, Mr. Rodiger was responsible for the development of 7 mid and high rise multi-family projects totaling more than 2,000 units.

Mr. Rodiger received his B.S. degree from Cornell University and holds a M.C.R.P. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.


BRENDAN SOREM - Acquisitions & Development

Mr. Sorem assists the managing partners with the sourcing, underwriting and financial analysis related to new investments in addition to other related investment activities. Prior to joining Redbrick, Mr. Sorem was in the Real Estate Investment Banking Division at Barclays Capital. Mr. Sorem started his career at The Blackstone Group, where he was actively involved in the process that led to the firm’s Initial Public Offering in 2007. He is a graduate of the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.


HANNAH UNTEREINER - Senior Development Associate

Ms. Untereiner supports development and construction efforts for Redbrick LMD’s 4 million square foot pipeline of private, mixed-use developments and public-private partnerships. She assists the partners and SVP of Development, Stephan Rodiger, on sourcing future acquisitions, analyzing project scopes and budgets, managing feasibility, zoning, entitlement, and design, securing retail and office tenants, and overseeing the construction process.

Prior to joining the Redbrick team, Ms. Untereiner worked on site acquisitions, and grocery store development and construction at Lidl. She was part of the original real estate team that determined Lidl’s U.S. expansion strategy and opened Lidl’s first 50 U.S. grocery stores across Virginia, Delaware, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia.

Ms. Untereiner volunteers on the Steering Committee for the Women’s Leadership Initiative at the Urban Land Institute. She received a B.A. with Distinction in American Studies from Yale University.
