Corporate Members are firms, or departments of firms, practicing in the field of structural engineering that have at least one Professional Engineer licensed in the District of Columbia, the State of Maryland, or the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Affiliate Member Firms are firms that, in the opinion of the Executive Committee, qualify by reason of related professional activity to collaborate with Structural Engineers in the advancement of professional knowledge, practice, and welfare.
Individual Affiliate Members are individuals who, in the opinion of the Executive Committee, qualify by reason of related professional activity to collaborate with Structural Engineers in the advancement of professional knowledge, practice, and welfare. Examples of Individual Affiliate Members include, but are not limited to, retired professionals, professors and those in academia, and individuals who previously practiced structural engineering but are not currently employed by a member firm.
Membership Note: Firm-based memberships are granted at the organizational level. Every employee of a member firm is also a member. The number of employees that may be included under each firm membership category is outlined here.
