Holbert Apple Associates, Inc. was acquired by GPI (Greenman-Pedersen, Inc.) at the end of 2021. With a staff of over 1700 professionals, GPI's wide-ranging resources allow us to handle projects for both public and private sector clients varying in size and complexity.
As part of the GPI Metro DC Branch, the structural office (formerly Holbert Apple Associates) is located in Olney, Maryland. We take pride in being responsive to our clients’ needs and in our commitment to providing quality structural engineering services, both technically and personally, and working collaboratively with all stake holders in today’s challenging design environment. The needs of our clients vary greatly and require a sensitivity and understanding of the specific programs for the various types of users. GPI has a proven ability to incorporate the user’s needs and the designer’s concepts into the elements required for the project’s structure to provide an economical and functional facility. We take pride in being responsive to our clients’ needs and in our commitment to providing quality services, both technically and personally. The firm provides services covering all phases of structural engineering for new construction and renovations. These services include evaluations of existing buildings (including renovations, reinforcing and repairs), studies of structural systems in the conceptual stage, preliminary design, final design and working drawings, specifications and general on-site observation of the structural work through the construction phase.
